Microscopes
There are times when the naked eye is not sufficient enough to view an object due to its size. When an object is so small that it needs to be magnified in order to observe its qualities, a microscope is used. A microscope will allow the human eye to view an object underneath of a magnified lens that can be focused and zoomed in order to better see its physical traits.
There are many different settings in which a microscope is used on an almost daily basis. One of these setting where a microscope is used very often is inside of a lab setting. Many scientists will use microscopes in order to research different specimens such as human or non human DNA. With a microscope scientists are able to examine the traits and characteristics of specific types of DNA and come up with answers to questions that were never possible without the invention and use of a microscope. In this way, the microscope has greatly impacted humanity in a positive manner, and has been a great help in saving countless lives due to its research capabilities.
Microscopes are commonly made from different types of metals and plastics. There have even been cases of microscopes being constructed from bamboo. The bamboo microscope is something that was thought up due to the need of a low cost material to provide for the construction of the microscope. Assuming that bamboo is an abundant resource in a specific location, this can be a very innovative and low cost way of constructing the tool.
There are an array of many different types of microscopes used for different research and situations. There are microscopes that are able to distinguish and identify specific substances of a specimen and there are also microscopes that are able to view processes which take place on an extremely micro level of sight. No matter what type of microscope is being used and for what type of situation, the microscope is surely a tool that has brought a large amount of positive energy into the field or research and study. Without microscopes there are many different types of medicines and treatments for various types of disease that would not have been discovered if it weren’t for the invention and availability of the microscope.
The microscope is made up of a few different lenses which control different aspects of how the microscope views its specimen. Using the different lenses will allow a person to zoom in and zoom out from the object, and you can also enlarge or decrease the size of the object in the viewer of the microscope by adjusting the correct lens that controls that action. For situations where an object needs to be illuminated in order to specifically view different angles or distinguishing physical traits, there are microscopes that have a built in light on them that will shine on the object that is placed under the microscope. No matter what type of viewing needs to be done, there is always a microscope to suit your needs.
